A Jolly good time was had by all
Kennebecasis Valley Santa Clause Parade

This was the second year the shop participated in the KV Santa Clause Parade, and it was such a blast. It's such fun decorating the truck, our bikes, and even our selves! We always have a great time riding our bikes, but this is a special event where we get to participate in bringing holiday joy to all those watching the parade. As usual, Glenn was a hit on his unicycle, and the wheelies were a constant crowd favourite! Saint John Cycling had it's annual general meeting Tuesday, November 27th to close off another busy year of bikes. The meeting was well attended given the forecast and was even live streamed to facebook, so those who stayed home because of the inclement weather could view and participate via comments!

After the president's and other executive reports on the year's business, some thoughtful discussion took place about direction for the year to come. Following this, elections took place for all executive positions. There was a shuffle with a couple of last year's executive staying on but moving to different positions, and some new folks joined on.

The incoming members bring great passion and some exciting ideas. As always, check out of the SJC Facebook page for the most up to date details, and also to watch/re-watch the livestream of the AGM.

Snow galore
Winter is here

Another East coast winter is in full swing with the long range forecast calling for sub-zero temps for the next week or so and hovering just above zero for several days following that.

The temperature swings and constantly changing conditions make this time of year especially challenging to dress for as a cyclist. Picking the right base layer, mid layer, and shell is key for enjoying being outside.

We've got all the gear to keep you warm and dry regardless of the conditions outside, so why let this sloppy weather keep you from riding? Swing by the store and we'll happily chat your ear off about layering systems, boots, gloves, etc!

Not only are the temperatures dipping, but the light is fading quicker than ever as we approach the winter solstice. Once you're all geared up and ready to go, don't forget a good set of lights is also critical to staying safe and having fun during this increasingly dark time of year!

If you've got any questions about what kind of light is best for you, come by the shop and we'll be happy to shed some light on the situation!

We've got great fat bikes and snowshoes at every price point in stock, and the recent snowy weather has seen some clients getting at it in Rockwood Park!

Check out some pictures of in stock fat bikes and snowshoes and even a snowy adventure below!
